Workshop schedule           Note: (Workshop times and venues could change).

**Most workshops are intermediate to advanced level and require that you already know how to play your instrument. If you are a beginner, you are welcome to still attend or audit the workshop.

Friday Workshops at the Strater Hotel (downstairs) and at the Pub/Underground

  • 10 - 11 am  – Guitar (Iain Hyde)
  • 10 – 11 am -  Songwriting (Patsy O’Brien)
  • 10 – 11 am -  Dance (Joanna Hyde) – at the Pub/Underground
  • 11:15 am -12:15 – Bouzouki (Adam Rhodes of Supertrad)
  • 11:15 am -12:15 – Fiddle (Tomas Callister of Supertrad)
  • 12 – 1 pm – Folk Singing with Patsy O’Brien – at the Pub/Underground
  • 12:30-1:30 pm – Mandolin (Dave Curley)
  • 12:30-1:30 pm – Flute – (Julien of The Jeremiahs) – whistle players are also welcome to attend
  • 2 – 3 pm – Meet the Jeremiahs – Demo/Talk (Pub/Underground) – FREE

  • 9:30-10:30 am - Guitar Leads & Melodies in Standard Guitar tuning (Patsy O’Brien) – at the Strater/downstairs
  • 9:30-10:30 am - Irish Fiddle (Joanna Hyde) – at the Strater/downstairs
  • 9:30-10:30 am – Irish Dance (Dave Curley) – at the Pub/Underground
  • 10:45-11:45 am - Fiddle – (JC Morel of The Jeremiahs) - at the Strater/downstairs
  • 10:45-11:45 am - Bouzouki (James Ryan of The Jeremiahs) - at the Strater/downstairs
  • 10:45-11:45 am - Vocal (Joe Gibney of The Jeremiahs) - at the Pub/Underground
  • 12 – 1 pm – Button Accordion (Paddy Callaghan of Supertrad) - at the Strater/downstairs
  • 12 – 1 pm – Guitar – (Dave Curley) - at the Strater/downstairs
  • 12 – 1 pm – Beginning Bodhran (Bob Condon) – Kids & beginners of all levels welcome! – FREE
  • 2 – 3 pm – Meet Supertrad – Demo/Talk (Pub/Underground) – FREE
  • 5:30-6:30 pm – Ceilidh Dances (Brenda Wanket) – Learn Ceilidh dances that will be performed at the Sunday afternoon Ceilidh (Pub/Underground)
