Cassie & Maggie

Nova Scotian sisters CASSIE & MAGGIE have been lighting up the world with their unique blend of traditional and contemporary Celtic instrumentals and vocals. Appearing on stages across North America, the UK, and Europe the sisters have enchanted audiences far and wide with lively fiddle, piano and guitar arrangements, stunning sibling vocal harmonies in both English and Gaelic, all complemented by their intricate and percussive step-dancing style. Rooted in their deep Celtic heritage, their melodies sing of truths that resonate through time while bridging the gap between tradition and innovation.

Caroline & Tom

Caroline Keane and Tom Delany are a dynamic and highly acclaimed musical duo, renowned for their virtuosic musicianship and heart-warming stage presence. Since they began playing together in 2010, while both studying at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick, they have created a distinctive and compelling musical partnership. With their unique blend of traditional Irish music, folk influences, and contemporary flair, Caroline and Tom have captivated audiences across Europe, Canada, the United States, and Australia.

Both highly skilled multi-instrumentalists, Caroline and Tom bring an exceptional level of artistry to their performances. Caroline is a masterful concertina player, known for her intricate, expressive playing, while Tom’s bold and lively style on uilleann pipes, bouzouki, and guitar has earned him a reputation as one of the leading musicians in the folk scene. Their performances span a wide range of styles—from lively dance music to emotive airs and powerful songs with heartfelt lyrics. Bowmaneers

The Bowmaneers perform modern and contemporary Celtic music. Exploring the more recent imaginings of Celtic songs and tunes, you will hear songs about the sea, love, betrayal, mermaids, boats and the occasional dragon or scoundrel. Songs are filled with multiple harmonies and vocal collaborations. Band members include: Brittany Hinger on ukulele and vocals; Zach Phelps on guitar and vocals; Elizabeth Lawyer on violin and vocals; Shiela Lane on piano, whistles and vocals; Linda Dolder on drum and vocals; and Jarod Lane on bass and vocals.

Forest Thump

Forest Thump electrifies the dance floor with a unique blend of organic and synthetic sounds. This dynamid DJ duo fuses the soaring melodies of an electric violin with the hard-hitting rhythms of house, bass, D&B, and dubstep. Their sets utilize original compositions to create a journey through pulsating beats and intricate soundscapes, creating an immersive experience that leaves audiences breathless. Forest Thump is comprised of local musicians & educators TJ Highland and Dennon Jones.

The Durango Celtic Festival is excited to bring Forest Thump in to play a full hour of Celtic electronic music, featuring many talented guest musicians both locally and internationally. This is a first for both this group and the festival. You won’t want to miss it!
